For us, colour grading is part of the storytelling — it heightens the film's emotional charge. When colour, texture and light build tension, the image becomes an integral, authentic part of the story for the viewer.

Studio

Documentary cinema is closest to my heart. From footage gathered over years — across different cameras, formats and shooting days, seemingly impossible to reconcile — I draw out a single, indisputable monolith that the viewer takes as entirely natural. A complete immersion in the image, working with the film's drama, rhythm and message.

I run ColorPRO personally. I work with a small team, but every decision about the image — from the first glance at the footage to the final master — belongs to me. We work remotely with filmmakers worldwide, and step in as co-producers on selected projects.

We consciously take on only a dozen or so projects a year. It is the only way to hold absolute focus and creative purity.

About

For over 25 years I have given films a distinct visual character, combining the sensitivity of analogue techniques with digital precision. I have worked as a colourist on over 200 feature films, documentaries and series.

The imagery shaped by my hands has earned close to 500 awards at festivals worldwide — from Cannes and Berlinale, through IDFA, to Camerimage — including Emmy-nominated films.

For years I taught this craft at the Łódź Film School. I believe that working with colour is an art of deep empathy towards the image — and I refuse to keep that knowledge to myself.
